8 Months Ago Today

Sassafras got away from the dog walker.

See some of our early efforts in the blog archive, http://www.findsassafras.net/2011_04_01_archive.html.  We owe much thanks to Laura, who set up the blog (and wrote the first post one week into the search), and who we hope someday has the joy of a reunion with her lost mastiff Olivia ... sighted recently after more than a year.

(We still hope for that joy for ourselves, too....)

  1. My heart goes out to you and Sassafras still out there. I am so sad. This morning I woke up and my first thought was that I hope when I open the website I would read Sassafras is Home!! Sadly it is not what I read. Yesterday I went through many of the blogs and the first one. It is amazing but not surprising how many people are helping and care and love all of you and Sassafras. I'm in Canada so I am far and I am sure a lot more people even farther than me know about Sassafras. Do not give up and never hesitate asking for help. We all know you are very grateful and thankful. There are amazing people out there. Amazing animal lovers. And you are amazing pet parents to Sassafras. Never forget that and never let anyone tell you otherwise. Sassafras is part of your family and many people feel the same way for a pet.

I would love to help you although I am so far. Can I help financially? Can I send you something to help with your expenses? You have done so much. You have been through so much. I would love to help.

  2. I wanted to add to my message earlier a big thank you to Laura for helping Sassafras' family in setting up the blog and I wish with all my heart you find your mastiff Olivia. There might be hope with the recent sighting. I am crossing my fingers and thinking and praying for you!

I hope you all find your loving pets. Please come home Olivia and Sassafras!

  3. Celine, thank you so much for kind words - they are truly appreciated, and really all that we need to help us with the search. Without the good thoughts from people like you, it would be impossible.
