Bayla is home!

Bayla, a beagle mix who was lost for 45 days is now back home!  We're so happy for Bayla and her humans!

Hearing about happy endings is always a good thing, and keeps us hoping that Sassafras' story will have a happy ending, too.

Sassafras has been on her own for 221 days.

  3. It is wonderful news that Bayla found her home!! Her family must be so relieved! One less lost dog in this world. It gives hope to all the lost dogs. It gives hope to Sassafras in finding her home. Reading the November 13 sighting gives positive hope. Do not give up your search and we will not give up our prayers. We think of you everyday.

    Welcome home Bayla!!

  5. How did Bayla come home? Any new rescue ideas that can help Sass come home?

  6. Bayla was caught in a humane trap, after 45 days. Bayla had a habit of sticking around the same neighborhood for days at a time so they were able to narrow down her range and find a good place for the trap. Unfortunately, because Sassafras does not stick around, or make dens, we haven't been able to do the same thing (although we have tried traps and cameras!).

  7. I have thought of a humane trap for Sassafras and wondered if it was done. I'm so sorry it has not worked. She is a feisty dog, full of energy and always on the go. I wish she would stay put. I'm sure you wish the same. I hope animal rescue people from SPCA's or other groups can help if you have not asked already which I'm guessing you have. There is PAW Rescue I believe I saw them rescuing many distressed dogs. I think of you all the time. It saddens me to know about lost pets. Sassafras needs to be home with her family. You are in my thoughts.
