An email that makes you feel good

The search is really tough, but every now and then we get an email that simply makes us smile. Here's one, subject "i WANT TO HELP"

hi my name is -----. i'm a 10 year-old girl, AND I LOVE DOGS.
i've seen the sassafras potsters all over my naborhood, for like a year, and thought that no one botherd to take them down. but then my dad showed me an artical in the news paper, and i felt really bad. so i went to the website and decided to email you. i have 1 dog, lucky, and i don't know what i would do with myself if he got lost for so long. anyways, me and my friends would love to help you guys find sassafras. please reply. oh, and sorry if i spelled something wrong.

Our reply:

Dear ------,

Thank you so much for writing!  We're always happy to hear from people who want to help us find Sassafras.  One thing you can definitely do for us is to tell your friends about Sassafras, show them her picture and ask them to look for her, too.  The more people who know what she looks like, and who are watching for her to run by, the better our chances are of bringing her home.  If you want some little cards to hand out to your friends that have Sassy's picture and our phone number we can get those to you, but we'd want to talk to your Dad, first, so we know it is okay with him.

The other thing you can do is to tell people that we promise to take the flyers down when she's found.  We keep maps of where they have been posted so we can go back and clean up the neighborhood.  We just want people to know how to reach us if they see her!

P.S. I'm a terrible speller, too.
P.P.S.  Give Lucky a belly rub for us!
