Social media is working

Still no fresh sightings to report, but it is positive to see that the social media (combined with flyering efforts) are continuing to get the word out.

On Facebook, people are reposting our blog to their own site, and commenting on the Oliver Alert ( ). A friend at our local Takoma Park unofficial dog park put a post on her facebook page and a friend of hers commented that she'd already seen the posters... that's great.

Got about 100 hits on the blog today and a few new friends (maybe from the DC Beagles repost on Facebook).

Others are emailing to friends, and new people are volunteering to help out.

If you can spread the word via social media, and put up flyers (see "Search Materials") in your neighborhood, that's excellent. Check out the "Map" link to see when and where flyers have already gone up. (Tracker last week said to cover at least a 10-mile radius from where Sass was lost... that's a lot of ground and we probably need to go further now.)

Also, if you have friends in major media willing to help out, let us know.

Many thanks, Jeff
